The Helsinki Airport is being renewed, because of this, GLO Hotel Airport will close its doors temporarily from 1.-30.4.2020.

GLO Hotel Airport’s home, the Helsinki Airport Terminal 2, is being renovated and expanding. Because of these changes in the terminal the hotel will close from 1.-30.4.2020 and will open its doors on 1.5.2020.

The Helsinki Airport is carrying on the biggest expansion in its history. The airport will grow with the expansion to attend up to 30 million passengers a year.

GLO Hotel Airport’s home, the airport’s Terminal 2, will expand by 45 percent with its renovation. The expansion will be equal as the size of the Linnanmäki amusement park and will have, among other things, a new entrance for arrivals and departures as well as an expansion in the Schengen service gate area.

We want to ensure our guests’ satisfaction as well as safe working conditions for our staff during the renovation. For this reason, we are closing GLO Hotel Airport completely in April 2020. The changes in the lobby will also affect the hotel’s meeting room Journey and the gym facility, which will be removed from use in April 2020.

The hotel doors will open again 1.5.2020. GLO Hotel Airport will carry on being the only hotel located inside the beautiful new Helsinki Airport, steps away from your departure gate.

PS. Did you know? During 2020 the Terminal 2 will have a parking hall with 1800 spaces in which the walls will be covered in solar panels and tens of electric car charging stations.
